Is Austin Butler going to get an Oscar nom next year?

Happy weekend, readers! In this week’s letter, Daysia can’t get over hot how the celebs were this week (Alexa, play “Burnin’ Up” by the Jonas Brothers). Meanwhile, Hannah recaps the latest in the land of celeb relationships.

Happy reading,

<3

This Week's Fixations

Daysia: Is it me or were celebrities hotter than usual this week? Perhaps it was because of Fashion Week or awards season or even just a result of all the buzzy new media coming out this spring. In any case, we were blessed with some incredible (and as one Twitter user put it, whorebaiting) photoshoots and snapshots of gorgeous gorgeous celebs, including:

The women of Euphoria, attached, of course, to an interview with the cast about their bond and working on season two after a year of lockdown.

Austin Butler as Elvis, the trailer for Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis Presley biopic is out.

Zoë Kravitz and Robert Pattinson, on the latest digital cover of Entertainment Weekly, ahead of The Batman’s release.

The hottest front row at NYFW (Coach), which I saw on Instagram and seemingly went on forever. Not pictured in this pic: Charles Melton and Kelvin Harrison Jr!

Hannah: Okay, I feel like everyone on the planet has seen the recent photos of Zendaya and Tom Holland. Both at an Uncharted screening and when they went to a Rangers game wearing customized jerseys of each other's name but let's just take a moment to appreciate this hot couple and this incredible level of cuteness:

In other celebrity relationship news that you might have missed: Simon Biles, the GOAT of gymnastics, is engaged! ❤️ Love this for her!

And now onto the second (?) biggest breakup this week: Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers have broken off their engagement. According to "sources" close to the couple, they realized they weren't a good match and with careers keeping them busy it wasn't working out (this is a summary). But, apparently, they remain friends! So that's something. No statement has been made by the former couple as yet, which is kind of disappointing because I'm sure they would have given us the next "conscious uncoupling." But we'll always have "agree to disagree about things and not debate them."

Has Lorde Dropped a New Album?

Lorde, via Tavi Gevinson, had a question for Stevie Nicks, which was printed as a part of Gevinson and Nicks’ conversation in the New Yorker’s first digital interviews issue.

The Q: “Can you ask her how she stayed in touch with her dreams? She seemed to never lose that direct line to her dreams, if that makes sense. And, by dreams, I mean, that actually swirling world you go to at night and sometimes when you’re awake. Not, like, ambitions.”

To which Nicks responded, Lorde will never lose sight of her dream world.

ICYMI: Aly & AJ released the deluxe edition of a touch of the beat gets you up on your feet. Listen to “Get Over Here.”

Too Many Tabs

For Elle, writer Hanna Phifer discussed how Ye’s Instagram meltdown about Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian amid their messy divorce is no joke—it’s harassment.

Vanity Fair’s Chris Murphy spoke to Michaela Jaé Rodriguez about ending Pose, making more history, and upcoming projects.

Hunter Harris spoke to thee (newly single) It Girl of the moment, Julia Fox, for the Cut.

Plus… an oral history of Mamma Mia 2’s ending, Sydney Sweeney on her vintage cars, Jake Gyllenhaal vaguely addresses “All Too Well,” we’re living in Telfar’s world, Unca Jaaamz, Zoë Kravitz in the studio?, Laverne Cox on embracing her age, Francis Ford Coppola’s $100 million bet, Charli XCX is obsessed with cars, and bloopers for that Uber Eats Super Bowl ad.
