Where have all the creative celeb Christmas cards gone?
Merry Christmas to all who celebrate! In this week’s letter, Daysia laments on how the Christmas spirit (and good set design) have abandoned celebrity Christmas cards. Meanwhile, Hannah shares the gift that John Mulaney and Olivia Munn have given us this year— a photo of their new son!

This Week's Fixations
Daysia: I originally wrote this bit about how the Kar-Jenner clan has left a void in the celebrity Christmas card market—but they (kind of) released one yesterday! It's not the full set though, just Kim, Khloe, their babies, and Kris.
I'm unconvinced it's actually a Christmas card. I think it's just the first look of an upcoming Skims campaign, given Kim tagged her company in the last photo. It looks on-brand, and might explain why Kourt isn't featured (since she already did a Skims campaign with Megan Fox?). Just a theory. Still, I'm unimpressed!
There haven’t been many interesting celeb Christmas cards this year, just some bleak ones fitting for a bleak year. Including:
Prince Charles and Camilla: This is so depressing! It’s a candid of Charles fixing Camila’s mask. Not flattering and a reminder of the already-unavoidable pandemic dread.
Dixie D’Amelio: It’s simply spon-con! And it’s not even a family affair—just Dixie and that one Keurig cup brand. And very low effort. Alas, I must respect the hustle.
Heather Rae Young and Tarek El Moussa: Honestly this one is kind of sweet, but the background is distracting! Why are you showing me the home bar setup? If it’s a ploy to look down-to-earth, it’s not working!
And so we don’t bring the mood down completely, here are some Christmas gifts celebs gave to me, and subsequently you, this holiday season: Kim Petras' chestnuts, the nativity scene Martha Stewart made in prison, and Lady Gaga sending what I think is an angel number to Katy Perry? Love it!
Hannah: I really had no idea what I was going to write about this week. I did watch Spider-Man: No Way Home but wanted to give myself time to process and also didn’t want to spoil anything. I will say that I enjoyed it immensely and it was satisfying in a similar way to Endgame and caused a similar reaction in the audience at some moments.
But then, in a moment of most fortunate timing, a miracle occurred. Forget the boyfriend reveal, John Mulaney and Olivia Munn have revealed their son on Instagram. (Thank you to Lexi McMenamin for sharing this news.)
Immediately went to Instagram and then swiftly sent to @daysiatolentino, I’m speechless

I did not realize that Munn was so far along because I feel like we were just learning that there was going to be a baby? (Mulaney confirmed that he and Munn were expecting on Late Night with Seth Meyers on September 7). Also after a quick Google search there are apparently reports that this baby was born a month ago (the day before Thanksgiving) but let’s not go down that rabbit hole…
Anyways Mulaney and Munn shared the same photo of their son, Malcolm Hiệp Mulaney, with captions that I feel are extremely on brand, respectively.
Congratulations to Munn and Mulaney and thank you for giving us this gift.
Has Lorde Dropped a New Album?
She dropped the music video for “Leader of the New Regime."
ICYMI: Wet Leg’s “Chaise Lounge” is a sexy, effortlessly cool banger.
Too Many Tabs
