What’s taking up our brain space this week?

Daysia: Do you remember last week’s blind item round-up when I mentioned that someone told Deux Moi that we might be getting another Bennifer engagement? Well, do we think that JLo confirmed that she and Ben are getting *that serious* again via her birthday Instagram? Methinks so!

Amid the major confirmation of Bennifer 2.0, folks were sharing their dream celebrity couple reunions—prompted by this tweet. Among some of the response: Samantha Ronson and Lindsay Lohan (it’s a no from me on this one, considering Lohan called their relationship “toxic”), Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder, and Alexa Chung and Alex Turner.

My personal picks? Austin Butler and Vanessa Hudgens 😩, Cara Delevigne and Ashley Benson, John Mulaney and Anna Marie Tendler, and Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield (although, she’s a married momma now)!

Then, on the other side of the celeb scale (aka D-list vs the obvious Bennifer A-list), Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Strause and Jason Oppenheim went Instagram official a couple days after the JLo pics went up. The caption? “The JLo effect.” Which made me ask… what’s the JLo effect? At first I thought, oh, going back to your ex? But Chrishell and Jason are not former flames—that’s Selling Sunset co-star Mary Fitzgerald and Oppenheim (no hard feelings, btw). So if it’s not that, is it the Instagram boyfriend reveal? Is it playing on public rumors and speculation? Apparently not, as most publications reporting on the photo are saying it’s just a reference to JLo and Ben’s trip to Italy… boring!

And finally, you know which celeb couple can keep it to themselves? Ashton and Mila—who admitted that they don’t bathe themselves or their children often… no one asked! 🤢

Hannah: Let’s go to the beach, beach, let’s go get old. I don’t think anything has brought me more delight in a while than the memes around M. Night Shylaman’s new film Old. I had no idea this movie was a thing until I saw a trailer for it before I watched Black Widow at the cinema (tangent: I’m not really on anyone’s side for the ScarJo vs. House of Mouse fiasco but I’m grateful for it giving me moments like this on my timeline). But the memes! They are so good!

And finally… I’m so excited to visit the House of Gucci. This role was made for Lady Gaga plus Adam Driver, it doesn’t get better than this.

Has Lorde Dropped a New Album?

We’re getting close, just three weeks! Ella’s really going in on the press tour, presumably since she’s not really Online this era. This week we were blessed with two major Lorde vids—an appearance on Vogue’s “73 Questions” and “Hot Ones.”

In “73 Questions,” Lorde talked about the emotions (“teen angst” and “ecstasy”) and colors (she has synesthesia!) in her first two albums, and so, so much more. Plus, Lorde became the first Kiwi on “Hot Ones” (and she hardly broke a sweat!), where she talked about putting cicadas buzzing on the album, privacy, and the perfect onion ring.

In the meantime... Billie Eilish’s sophomore album Happier Than Ever is out now—listen to "Billie Bossa Nova." Plus, Silk Sonic (aka Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak) has a new jam out that will help you “Skate” into the weekend.
